Lisa Renz is a native of Dallas, Texas. She received her BA in Studio Art with a concentration in printmaking from the University of Dallas in 2004. In 2007, she received an MFA in studio art from the University of Tennessee, again concentrating in printmaking. After living in Little Rock and New York, she relocated to Dallas, where she lived in an old house, made art, and fostered hopes of becoming a beekeeper. In late 2012,she moved to Washington, DC, with her husband, Nathaniel Cochran
–her legal name is Lisa Cochran–and hopes to continue making art, still fosters hopes of becoming a beekeeper (she assists with a few hives), and is learning calligraphy. In times of stress she tends to watch movies starring Emma Thompson over and over.
